Jurgen Klopp explain his role in Liverpool's transfer activities

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp might have his mind on a midweek FA Cup replay against Exeter City, but as the January window comes closer to a close, the German tactician is also actively shopping for new talent in the market.
For Liverpool, signing new players has become notoriously difficult, as the club employs a transfer committee that presents managers with player shortlists, from which those players may be purchased. With Klopp now at the helm, however, the club's transfer operation looks to have adjusted accordingly.
Klopp says he is the one who has final say on transfers at Anfield.
"Yes. It's how I am used to work. If I don't want a player to come to the club he will not come. It's normal," Klopp told reporters.

Klopp also provided reporters with a quick injury update on two notable players. Daniel Sturridge remains out of the squad, he said, while Jon Flanagan will return after being sidelined for almost two years.
"Daniel has not been involved in team training since the Newcastle game. He's had some issues," Klopp said.
"Jon is in a really good way and we are happy. He’s training today - if nothing happens he’s on the bench."
