Roma sporting director confirms Gervinho's imminent move to China

It looks as though Roma winger Gervinho is on his way to Chinese outfit Jiangsu Suning, as reports of a potential move were confirmed by the club's sporting director Mauro Baldissoni.

"I can confirm there are negotiations ongoing for Gervinho to China," Baldissoni told reporters, according to the Guardian. "When a player expresses the desire to leave, there's no point keeping him."
Gervinho, 28, has scored six goals this season with the Roman side. The Guardian further reports that Gervinho will be departing the Italian capital for a fee of around €18 million.
